I am by no means a handyman, but I finally replaced the broken blinds in the bathroom. My wife and I would occasionally peek into the backyard without pulling the blinds up and they started breaking one by one. My wife voiced her concerns about being seen in the bathroom since we tend to shower at night.
Of course this "30 min" setup took over an hour for me. Sadly I couldn't reuse the hardware already installed, so I had to take down the old and measure out where the new supports were going. The brackets could be in or out window and I installed them the wrong way twice, which I only discovers after my confusion why the new blinds wouldn't attach. I had to redrill the holes for the screws too. And the final result is a tad uneven toward one side.
These are cordless blinds so now we have no excuse to lift them up when we want to look out.
