I had no idea when I woke up this morning that a 6-player game of #FederationCommander would be part of my day. It was tons of fun, as it always is. Nice to fly a Klingon D6 battlecruiser again.

The scenario involved a Federation fleet tug with two cargo pods, escorted by a trio of DDMs. It wanted to exit the map, but it had to cross some asteroids and our Klingon flotilla of three D6s. The Klingons wanted to capture the ship, so immobilizing it was the goal. We managed to do that without destroying...too much of the cargo. #HexesForever

I had the day after Turkeyween to myself, so I played through #AdvancedSquadLeader S105, Steppe Toward Oblivion. This is from the Basic Training magazine. Interesting scenario with a mostly Romanian force trying to hold onto 8 building hexes against a Soviet swarm of infantry and tanks. The Romanians have a pair of German ATs, plus an AT, two DCs, and a FT of their own. and a special VP bonus for each AFV they can knock out.

The Soviets won this one pretty easily, scoring an early critical hit one AT, while the other two malfunctioned. The DCs and FT were too far to the rear to post a threat to the tanks after that.

I will likely play this again. #HexesForever

An Afghan outpost is under attack and a Canadian force is sent to drive off the insurgents. The insurgents are deployed in three groups; two of them will attack the ANA units while the other will try to delay de relief convoy —maybe, with some luck, they could cause some casualties— but the Canadians do have serious firepower to be fully stopped.

Germans in the north have been stonewalled, but in the center and south are making progress, despite many bridges blown by the Americans in the center.

Cubes are Victory Point locations, red for American control and purple for German control. Germans are up to 13 pts.

I told someone on BGG that I was interested in buying a game they were selling. I had to withdraw from my purchase for life reasons, so I apologised. I never heard back from him, but I felt guilty; it used to bug me when people backed out of buying a game I was selling, or never got back to me to complete the purchase. C'est la vie, sometimes.
