Here in ABQ - we had a ballot measure for Paid Sick Leave about a year and a half ago (October of 2017).

It was originally meant to be just the first step in a complete labor-reform called Fair Work Week but got abridged when the Democrats made clear that they wouldn't support that.

Turned out they wouldn't support sick leave alone, either.

And even though we were able to get enough signatures to be on the ballot - they delayed us another year.

And when we finally were put on the ballot - we were denied the right to give a summary, and instead had all 20 pages printed out in (actually) illegally small font. And over half of the voters didn't even turn that ballot over.

Since then we've done nothing but court those same politicians.
And last night, at what was supposed to be the first town hall to discuss the issue - they all no showed.

We need to stop begging and start demanding. We have the numbers.
