World-renowned gospel artist VaShawn Mitchell is back with a powerful ballad of encouragement. It is perfect for anyone dealing with any challenges in life. Fresh off the success of his recent chart-topping hit “Make A Way”, Mitchell is excited to announce the release of his newest single, “Working Together”.

The Gen Z Era

Though Me’Kayla is part of the Gen Z era, her inspiration comes from legends long before her time. Legends including Little Richard, Ray Charles, Luther Vandross, Dawkins & Dawkins, and The Clark Sisters.  In her words she says, “I’m just a church girl from Tallahassee, FL, and I’m beyond blessed to call Motown Gospel my home. This journey is a dream come true. I can’t wait to share my music with the world.” One of her inspirations, Kim Burrell, is actually who discovered her on Instagram. After hearing her sing, Burrell called Harry Connick Jr. He then reached out to Motown to create the relationship. Based on Connick’s rave review of her, Motown then signed her while she was in the 12th grade.

This discovery came on the heels of her initial acclaim to fame as a featured vocalist on Tennessee State University’s Grammy Award-winning LP, The Urban Hymnal. It won “Best Gospel Roots Album” in the 65th Annual Grammys Award ceremony in 2023. Notably, it was produced by Sir the Baptist.

Karew Entertainment Celebrates Four Stellar Award Nominations at This Year’s 40th Annual Stellar Awards Ceremony

Karew Entertainment proudly announces they’ve been honored with a total of four nominations at this year’s biggest night in gospel music. The prestigious Stellar Awards. As a result of Karen Clark Sheard’s critically acclaimed album Still Karen, Sheard has been nominated for “Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year”, “Contemporary Album of the Year” and “Music Packaging of the Year”. The album’s Co-Executive Producer J. Drew Sheard II, was also nominated for “Producer of the Year” on the same project. The winners will be announced at the upcoming award ceremony in Nashville. It will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The Grammy and NAACP Image Award-Nominated Album

Still Karen, is Sheard’s sixth solo album. It combines the sounds from producers Anthony Brown, J Moss and co-Executive producers Pharrell Williams and J. Drew Sheard II. The album’s leading single, “Send it Down” spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard and MediaBase. Moreover, the second single, “Completely Yours”, has just entered Top 30 with the expectation to head to the top of the chart as well. 

The music from the album has received an overwhelmingly positive response. It has been referred to by many as “a no skip album”. VaShawn Mitchell Releases New Urban Inspirational Groove “Make A Way

7x Stellar Award winner, VaShawn Mitchell, known for church anthems “Joy”, “Turning Around for Me” and the record breaking single “Nobody Greater”, just released a new urban inspirational groove entitled “Make A Way”. This single ventures into a different lane than what fans traditionally hear from Mitchell but has all the of legendary makings of a hit that he is known for.
