I went to see some of the Giants of Mandurah yesterday. They are quite spread out, so I only saw two on a 22 km round trip by bicycle from the train station. I guess I'll try and get to the other three some other time.

It would be nice if they were a bit more accessible. The first was a fair distance from the closest car park. There were a few people pushing wheel chairs on the way, but the final approach was a dirt path up a hill.

Thomas Dambo https://thomasdambo.com/ has a wonderful interactive sculpture display, The Giants of Mandurah. One of the giants, however, is in Subiaco.

Here is a shot of @leece having a chat with them as they rest.

If you live in Western Australia covid cautious, looking for something to do outside, visiting the Giants of Mandurah is a fun outing. We only needed to wear our masks when visiting the tourist centre to get maps and grabbing some lunch which we ate near the beach. #giantsofmandurah #covidsafetourist
Jyttes Hytte, the secret sixth giant. We met her after dark on New Year's Eve. Jyttes Hytte lives in a forest near Mandurah. Christmas spiders filled the gaps in the canopy like tiny eight-legged stars.
