ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “La Federcalcio e Gennaro Ivan Gattuso hanno risolto consensualmente il contratto che legava l'allenatore calabrese alla panchina della Nazionale italiana di calcio. La Figc ringrazia Gattuso e tutto il suo staff per la serietà, la dedizione e la passione con cui hanno lavorato negli ultimi nove mesi e augura loro i migliori successi per il prosieguo della carriera”. Questo il comunicato con cui la Figc ufficializza il divorzio con Gattuso che arriva il giorno dopo le dimissioni di Gravina e Buffon, successive alla mancata qualificazione degli azzurri al Mondiale. “Con il dolore nel cuore, non avendo raggiunto l'obiettivo che ci eravamo prefissati, ritengo conclusa la mia esperienza sulla panchina della Nazionale – dichiara Gattuso -. La maglia azzurra è il bene più prezioso che esiste nel calcio, per questo è giusto agevolare sin da subito le future valutazioni tecniche. Desidero ringraziare il presidente Gabriele Gravina e Gianluigi Buffon, e con loro tutti i collaboratori della Federazione, per la fiducia e il supporto che mi hanno sempre garantito”. “E' stato un onore poter guidare la Nazionale e farlo anche con un gruppo di ragazzi che hanno mostrato impegno e attaccamento alla maglia.
