The transparent Jinhao 992 #fountaipen is a pleasure to write with. No stress rainbow effects, apparently. Inked with a blend of Schneider inks. The black pen feels drier on just a dip test (not inked yet). The F nib of the 992 is thicker than the F nib of the Jinhao 82 we got by mistake.

@penfount I really don't get the obsession with gold nibs. Especially with some expensive gold nibs. None of these pens cost more than 40€ and the nibs are very, very good. Some are flexible, and some are rigid. Some are smooth, and some have feedback. If you want to try a gold nib, the vintage route is one that should be considered.
