I guess the 3 #bikeLocks are enough assurance for the owner.
One lock for the rear wheel, one to lock the front wheel to the rack, and a long coily one for the stem.
Not sure about that third lock though... ๐ค

My average* speed according to the display on my #bike is around 11 or 12kph. But realistically*, for traveling anywhere, I'd say it's only about 9kph -- with all the obstacles, intersections and stoplights.
Some people do #commute that distance (or more) by bike. Some pedal all the way, some do bi-modal transport with #FoldableBikes.
Montreal is a gorgeous place. You're very fortunate. ๐
Need more practice riding my li'l 16" #bike. Then one of the things that will need to be fixed/changed next is the front tire. Didn't notice at the time of purchase that the front tire is neither* Schraeder nor Presta. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

Oh I wouldn't bike on the streets. Not yet. We do have some #bicycle lanes. But i need plenty of practice before i can be brave enough to have my bike as my commute.
I'll be taking it to the park or someplace quiet and safe and do my riding there. That's why one of my criteria is foldability. ๐
I gotta buy one first... ๐
