Following up to an earlier question, can anyone tell me if they've gotten visual voicemail reliably working on any #FOSS #Android dialer program (or dedicated FOSS vVM program, if such a thing exists)?

It doesn't have to be your OS'es stock dialer, but it has to be a FOSS one. Not "Google Dialer" or "${cellular_carrier} Visual Voicemail."

It would work like 10% of the time when I was with AT&T, but now not at all with Mint Mobile (T-Mobile #MVNO).

Maybe I should make it into a #Poll to get more interest ;)

I may not get this quote quite right so paraphrasing: Zoe Khan <https://zoebkahn.github.io/> examined the problem of integrating expertise to create complex systems, and software (unlike plane construction) basically never does this, and key expertise is just ignored.

Zoe was talking about CS generally, but she could just have easily being describing what's going on in #FOSS specifically — & particularly FOSS licensing & #copyleft.

#Linux lets me do 95% of what I want on a computer, and I'm happy with that. #Windows lets me do everything, except make it better, so I prefer Linux. Unfortunately, it is that 5% that forces me to keep Windows on one of my computer's drives.

I had to log into Windows just so that I could use #Logitech G Hub to lower my mouse's report rate, thus ending my two-month streak. Wine just isn't fully there yet. Don't worry, I'm still sticking to #Fedora.
