#FlyFriday ร— #DailySpiderPic: a male non-biting midge (family Chironomidae) falls prey to a minuscule juvenile jumping spider. Male midges' plumose (literally, feather-like) antennae are used for sensing females.

#FlyFriday ร— #FungiFriday: a couple flies infected with an entomopathogenic fungus (e. g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entomophthorales) which causes flies to climb to high points and lift their abdomens before dying, the better for the fruiting fungus to spread its spores. I found these in a large weedy meadow conveniently located on the way to the big grocery store.
