[Dezeen Showroom: designed by Frost Produkt and Aleksander Borgenhov for Norwegian brand Flokk, the HÅG SoFi office chair has had extra attention paid to its most visible side: the back.

Flokk describes the HÅG SoFi as the ultimate task chair, with a "warm and welcoming" appearance that disguises its functional features.

Particular attention has been paid to the back of the HAG SoFi office chair

In particular, the designers focused on the back of the chair, reasoning that this is the main angle its viewed from in most contemporary office environments.

They gave the back a gentle, curved form with different but complementary accents on the upholstered and mesh models.

Its functionality includes a tilt mechanism that promotes active sitting

To keep users healthy at work, the chair features the HÅG in Balance mechanism, which promotes active sitting through a tilt function that keeps the whole body moving.

Its level of resistance is adjustable, along with the seat depth, height and lumbar support.

Designed in 2013, the HÅG SoFi comes in desk and meeting room models, each with either mesh or cushioned backrests. Armrests and headrests are optional add-ons.

Acer Design creates RBM u-Connect table for Flokk

Dezeen Showroom: Norwegian studio Acer Design has created the RBM u-Connect table on wheels for Scandinavian furniture manufacturer Flokk.

RBM u-Connect has a light aluminium frame mounted on castors and a tabletop that can fold away when not in use.

"RBM u-Connect on wheels combines contemporary design with unique architectural qualities. The result is a highly functional table," said Flokk.

"Being light and flexible, you can quickly reconfigure any seating arrangements, helping to boost the energy levels of any creative ad agency, mobile office or assembly room."

The table can be folded away and stacked

Acer Design, a studio led by Justus Kolberg and Erik Simonsen, created the table as a useful and flexible piece of Scandinavian design.

The tabletop is available in a range of colours in laminate or melamine beech and can be folded away to one side to allow the tables to be stacked together.

RBM u-Connect could also be a used as a flexible dining table

"RBM Connect gives you the flexibility to change the use of a room in a simple and fast way," said Flokk.

"Work, learn, discuss, concentrate, meet, eat – and when you need space for the yoga session in the evening, the tables are easily stowed away."

Jasmine acoustic panels by Layla Mehdi Pour for Offecct

Dezeen Showroom: product designer Layla Mehdi Pour took cues from nature when creating the geometric Jasmine acoustic panels for Flokk-owned brand Offecct.

The Jasmine acoustic panels are part of Offecct's wider range of sound-absorbing wall coverings, called Soundwave.

Like the rest of the Soundwave collection, Jasmine can be mounted on the walls of open spaces to help reduce noise while doubling as decoration.

The Jasmine acoustic panels are designed to reduce noise

The Jasmine panels are triangular and available in three different colours: black, grey and off-white.

Their shape allows users to combine them in symmetrical compositions or in more playful, unbalanced arrangements. According to Pour, this is a reference to "nature's interplay between order and irregularity".

Black is one of three colour finishes

"When I designed Jasmine, I was inspired by natural elements that may seem irregular in their macro form but in the detail have a wonderful precision and regular structure," explained the product designer.

"I strived to capture nature's poetic rhythm and mix it with more geometric, triangular shapes that can be combined in different ways and create new expressions and compositions."

Dezeen Showroom: French designer Christophe Pillet has created the Chic Lounge chair for Flokk-owned furniture brand Profim to offer a comfortable seat during informal meetings.

Designed for casual meeting places and relaxation areas such as hotel lobbies, the Chic Lounge features a curved metal base and low-slung seat.

Chic Lounge is available with a matching cushion

"The chairs are extremely comfortable, encouraging informal meetings over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine," said Profim.

"The collection is distinguished by minimalist, elegant design, while the style is dominated by subtle forms that blend perfectly with many different spaces," the brand added. "There is no exaggeration, no unnecessary elements in the design. It is stylish, soft and flowing."

The chair also comes with a low back

The Chic Lounge comes with a high or low backrest, as well as with a matching cushion and footrest. The chair is also available in a version that rocks slightly for added comfort.
