In any case, Weirdstone was quite influential in its own way. Phillip Pullman said, of it, "Garner is indisputably the great originator, the most important British writer of fantasy since Tolkien, and in many respects better than Tolkien, because deeper and more truthful."
In #DungeonsAndDragons , Weirdstone brought us the #Svart (#WhiteDwarf 9, #FiendFactory — later renamed to #Xvart in the #FiendFolio ).
Anyway I am pleased to have acquired a copy, for the princely sum of £1.50.
