Und ich hab gelernt ( #fediverseToldMe ) das mensch sich so einen Titel nicht selbst verleihen sollte, sondern ggf. durch Taten usw. als #Ally erkannt wird.
I learned ( #fediverseToldMe ) that giving credit is not always the right thing to do ( exposing the person being credited) , and I take the same can be true for follow-recommendations .
So I will not give a #followRecommendation ( German: #Folgeempfehlung ) without having gotten consent to do so.

It's nice to give credit. Often it is expected/requested or it is considered rude to not give credit.
But it also might expose people in a way they do not want.
So it is better to ask first, if things are not clear.

Yes, I learned that a few years (?) ago! I think it's something that #fediverseToldMe !
#fediverseToldMe: don't say "western world" , just say "Europe".
