NatyLots of "firsts" this week for me:
1. Completed pull requests on 3 projects & got them all merged! Esp proud of the #retext #markdown editor syntax highlighting fix.
2. Joined a web-ring (if you could call it that?) community—#512kbclub by @kev!
In the end I got it down to 499kB. MonaspaceVar font taking up a good 100kB+ chunk of the uncompressed total. I need to find a spot to put the club badge! Excited :)
3. Bought an official #nanoblock #ultraman 200pc (only had knockoffs before).

Found the 512kb.club , and absolutely immediately wanted to add my site to it!
After scanning my home page, its total size was ~122kb - just 22kb short of the shiny "Green team" treshold!
"The 'heaviest' part of my index page are the couple of images!", I thought.
"I'll just refactor the Eleventy Image parameters I use and I'll probably get that down!"...
And so I did...
And it's now ~266kb.. 😂
So it's the illustrious Blue Team for me until I read up on Eleventy Image and Sharp to actually understand what the hell I'm doing with those parameters! 😄
Mike Stone@paninodesu Agreed. Maybe this new Vivaldi feature will make it easier to name and shame offenders. Still, even small sites take up too much. I'm on the Green Team on Kev's #512KBClub and the tab still takes almost 40MB of RAM. Why 40MB for a page that's less than 100K?
