Gotta love #reddit mods!

Where you make a post on r/vent complaining how cringe the fat acceptance movement can be, especially when they're trying to say #obesity has no negative #health effects.

Then you get banned for being #fatphobic and point out that's not a real thing, and get called a sexual predator by a mod!

He really isn't doing any favors for Reddit mods being terminally online losers.

Before you get too excited about Robert Picardo returning to #StarTrek in #StarfleetAcadamy please keep in mind that the mother fucker is #fatphobic as hell. Just one more #StarTrekVoyager cast member who is highly problematic. I suppose I should write up a list somewhere with documentation of all the #StarTrekVOY crew who have serious problems, but what is the point?

Honestly, we cannot see how it is reasonable to assert that having better tools for #treating #obesity will make us more #FatPhobic as @conversationedu suggests. Instead, we should be having better conversations about this misunderstood disease.

Does Treating Obesity Make Us Fat-Phobic? - ConscienHealth

We’re struggling to understand how someone can argue that better options for treating obesity will make us more fat-phobic.

Responses to someone saying, "You have such a pretty face, its a shame you keep all that extra weight":

--It's a shame you thought that was a fucking compliment.
--You have an ugly face and uglier personality and no diet's gonna help that, sweetie.
--Your boyfriend/girlfriend seems to like all my extra weight.
--You have such an unwanted opinion, its a shame you can't shut the fuck up.
--Thick thighs save lives, just ask your mom.

@marcelsalathe It’s full of harmful and at times downright wrong discriminatory biases about fat people. It’s one of the worst films out there and #fatphobic
skinny disabled #people you have a duty to not be #fatphobic to disabled fat people or just fatphobic period. do you have any fucking idea how horrible it is to be disabled trying to get a diagnosis and having everything blamed on your weight. do you know how anger inducing it is to have every single (and yes i mean EVERY SINGLE) symptom blamed on weight. the worst part of it is trying to receive community support and seeing so many chronically ill/disabled people push fatphobic rhetoric and be openly hostile to fat disabled people. you arent cripplepunk if youre fatphobic.
@dmoser well, I‘m a #cyclist and obese and unhealthy (I have a chronic illness), go to doctors all the time.
So yes this got old very quickly!
It would be possible to illustrate this without such an #ableist and #fatphobic derogatory comment

Being fat decreases your #pay opportunities significantly in the #corporate world. Add into that mix any other intersecting identities, and you have a recipe for extremely low pay in comparison with groups who do not fall into those #identities. The world views fat people as less valuable and proceeds to compensate them according to that belief.

Fat people are a #marginalized group, but it continues to be 'socially acceptable' to make fun of them, treat them as less, make harmful assumptions about them, and regularly enact aggressions or #microaggressions against them.

WAGE DISPARITY FOR FAT AND OTHER MARGINALIZED PEOPLE — naafa

When people talk about diversity and inclusion in the workplace, they are usually referring to diversity as presented by ethnic, racial, gender identity, disability, and sexual identity demographics. Less often is body diversity considered. It has been reported that employers often perceive fatn

It makes our head spin.
#FatAcceptance advocates say it's wrong to seek #ObesityCare because obesity is not a real medical problem.
#FatPhobic folks reject it because healthy choices will solve the problem.
New research documents the resulting #stigma.

Promoting Stigma for Seeking Obesity Care - ConscienHealth

Oddly enough, we have two very different groups of people promoting stigma for seeking obesity care – one fat-phobic, another fat-accepting.

According to antifatness, the goal of every fat person at all times must be to reduce and launder their fatness as much as possible for the consumption of thin people. Most if not all fat people in antifat cultures are implicitly if not explicitly aware of this. It effects how fat people think, feel, dress, move, speak, breathe, and how, when, where, why, and if they eat.
