Ok so... this episode was... mixed. I feared there would be more B'Elanna vs 7 clashes given the start of the episode, but thankfully this was just a single mild verbale aggression.

I don't like way things goes for B'Elanna. It was painful to watch and not particularly insightful.

I don't really like the narrative being pushed about the refugees being aggressively trying to get ressources at the expense of Voyager, although I feel it could have been worst. It felt like a right wing talking point, tbh. I'm sure you could frame this conflict better.

I did like 7 and Kathryn working things out, and 7 working on getting along with the crew. that tension is probably the best part of this episode.

What you end the episode on THAT???

Ok this is dramatic but come on!!!

This doesn't really resolves B'Elanna's arc in this episode! Well some part of it, but the "Day of honor" bit.

Plus Tom response to B'Elanna's confession was absolute ass.

Damned Klingon honor...

Tom, come on don't be a dick.

Sure B'Elanna has an habit of pushing people away, but Tom have still been an absolut ass at telling her that. And he did in anger most of the time. Not boyfriend behavior is what I will just say.

No deception but this is even worse.

Kathryn interactions with 7 are great.

I like that Kathryn is open about her doubts and also that she's quick to trust 7. A good move since 7 isn't accustomed with deception and social interaction. She wouldn't understand or like Kathryn trying to hide her suspicions.

Kathryn isn't perfect but she sure as hell try.
