nebucatnetzerIt is really fun to have all my data directly accessible on my phone without having to rely on an active internet connection. Not that I don't have one but I just don't need one for most of the tasks.
This is mainly done through #Syncthing and an SD card in my #fairphone
This leads me to the thought that I maybe could use #Nextcloud only for files that I want to share with some one else.

This was a reply on Bluesky to my post where I said I was willing to install CalyxOS on my Fairphone. [1]
Before buying a Fairphone, I considered buying a Google Pixel. However, I didn't like the idea of depending on a cloud system to store my photos and music. Not to mention, it's a Google product. I wanted to be able to use an external storage card.
I chose the Fairphone because of the company's mission and the ability to install either /e/OS or CalyxOS. I prefer to stay out of OS wars, but if you can make a case for why one alternative Android OS is better than another in terms of privacy, I'd like to hear it.

Nach Jahren der Begeisterung über Apple und diverse Produkte im Haus und im Café, haben wir seit vier Jahren ein #fairphone und seit dieser Woche habe ich ein Tablet der Firma Valle aus Remscheid für mein Kassensystem. Kein #apple, kein #google - einfach ein gut funktionierendes Tablet, welches hoffentlich viel Jahre halten wird - auch mit bzw. trotz Aktualisierungen!

aproposnixI've been playing around with gCam mods on Fairphone 6. They're not bad but they're not made for the FP6 so I'm getting a lot of lens distortion. Anyone have an XML config for the phone? #fairphone #gcam #nightmode
