I haven't shared a picture of my weaving in a bit. This is because it is a disaster! But I'm learning and having fun with some cheap acrylic and my kid's idea of a design.

I also haven't shared a picture of my spinning in a while because I got out of the habit of taking photos after every session once #TourDeFleece was done. But it is not a disaster! Though it does kind of match the green whipped cream my kid wanted to make today...

Plying time!

Given how small the nano is I don't really expect to use it for plying yarn much when I've got the big wheel right there, but I wanted to try it out, so this is a chain ply of my very first fibers spun on the blue beastie. Probably a bit overspun but it was fun!

Got a *little* bit of time to try out my new Electric Eel Wheel Nano 2 e-spinner before my kid noticed and got in my way. πŸ™„

I'm pretty pleased that I could set it up to spin on my lap, and I don't know how much of it is my improved spinning skill & knowledge and how much is the subtle improvements in version 2, but it was really smooth and easy to use first try!

Anyone else out there who loves really analog machines used for #crafting? I got my #electriceelwheel for #espinning this year, & I have been fascinated by #sewing and #knitting machines of all kinds for years. I love videos of #weaving & #looms & #tabletweaving. Lately I’ve realized it’s the relatively low tech consumer machines used to make artistic or creative output that fascinate me. Anyone else?
