The second part to the Emily Wilde series, Map of the Otherlands takes the story from Cambridge to the Austrian Alps, when Emily and Wendell are attacked by fae assassins. The doors to the Otherlands open yet again, when the duo search for answers.

The Emily Wilde books have been a favorite this year. I’m enjoying the cozy and academic vibe, but certainly am not left bored with all that is happening. Wendell has to be my new fictional crush, and I find Shadow and Poe heartwarming creatures.

Victorian era academia vibes? Journal-style storytelling? Faeries and the perilous realm? A mysterious male lead who is a clean freak, knits and (most importantly) takes care of the female lead?
Yes please!

Emily Wilde is finishing up her academic work, an encyclopaedia on the different types of fae. Show travels to a cold nordic village for her last field study. But the locals aren’t quite so welcoming of the academic woman. And who shows up but her annoying academic colleague Wendell Bambleby.

This was such a cute and wholesome 5⭐️read, and I’m so happy the Finnish translation of this is coming out really soon!

I’ve finished reading Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries and Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett. I loved them both. The cozy vibes are impeccable, with just enough adventure. I was excited to see that there will be a book three!
