Finished this one today. One of those books you have to read with a deliberate thought. Because of it this was a slow read at first but I gained some momentum after I got into the subject matter. Not an easy read by any means and as such i'd rate this 3/5 but for a history buff and for someone willing to spend time and thought 4/5.

I’ve been going through a lot mentally lately, so much tension about the future, my career, and what to do. But today feels a little lighter. I finished this book of stories by Nirmal Verma, and the last story took me by surprise, it’s set in my hometown, Ranikhet, something I had no idea about before. I don’t know why, but reading it filled me with such a deep sense of joy. The places mentioned in the story are so familiar, so closely tied to my childhood. It’s a sweet, nostalgic feeling, and I just want to sit with it, to let it wash over me. The future can wait for another day.

[REPRISE] Après longtemps sans écrire (à part quelques poèmes), je me suis remis la semaine dernière à mon second roman.

Après autant de temps, on commence par quoi ? Une petite révision du plan, un petit « solostorming » sur les points bloquants de l’intrigue, deux idées de titres intéressantes… Et l’envie revient petit à petit…

Alors on inaugure cette nouvelle catégorie pour parler de l’écriture de ce roman (avancée, recherches, coulisses, anecdotes...).

En bonus, pour la première fois ici, un minuscule indice sur ce second roman avec ce superbe sceau de Renaud, abbé de l’Abbaye de St Martin, à Nevers (XIIIe siècle).
