Spent the past few DAYS trying to figure out why the #epubs I was loading onto my jailbroken #kindle Paperwhite weren't showing up in #koreader's file browser. Today I realized I had set the view to filter by books in the "reading" state.

I love the functionality koreader adds to my old Kindle, but somehow its menus are the least intuitive I've ever seen.

I love my #ereader. It's small enough to fit in a pocket, and between a pop socket and a screen cover, I don't need a case weighing it down. I can even drop #epubs into it, so the public domain is my playground.

But I'm back up to carrying three devices: phone, laptop, ereader.

I dream of a compact device, phone-sized, that I can unfold into a book-sized device and then further unfold into a laptop-sized device.

I know. It's science fiction. Sigh.

I'm going to re-iterate again that I adore #epubs. It's one of the few times that you feel that you actually own digital content. Yes, it does make it easier for your #book to be pirated. I thought about it and decided that it was a worth it allowing people to own a copy and risk it being stolen. That is why I do my best to make sure nothing I release is DRMed.

This is me and I don't fault any other that thinks otherwise. It's an #author personal choice. #writingcommunity #indieauthor
