Dynjandi ist eine auffällige Wasserfallkaskade im Arnarfjörður und eines der bekanntesten Naturdenkmäler der Westfjorde. Über die breite Felswand zieht sich ein feiner, fächerförmiger Wasservorhang, der dem Wasserfall einen besonderen, fast filigranen Charakter verleiht. Sein Name bedeutet „der Tosende“ – und tatsächlich beeindruckt Dynjandi nicht nur durch seine Gestalt, sondern auch durch das beständige, tiefe Rauschen. Unterhalb des großen Namengebers folgen mehrere kleinere Wasserfälle, die sich stufenweise ins Tal ergießen.
