Over 2 weeks now using the Apple Watch as a #dumphone I’m loving it. My only gripe is how unreliable it is when it comes to using Spotify and the Podcast app. It’s really annoying because it gives you no clue as to what the issue is. #AppleWatch

It's been about two weeks now. I ended up using the phone last Friday for a FaceTime call. Now this is truly a convenience, but the thing that's becoming clear is that the conveniences of a smartphone is a very short list. #AppleWatch #dumphone #digitalminimalism

First day without an iPhone with me. The Apple Watch Series 11 with Cellular is really nice. There were some “withdrawal”feelings. I had funny “toot thoughts”I thought about posting. Wanted to take a snapshot of the dog. And had to poop with just me and my thoughts. But it was a good day.

Question to the #LinuxPhone/#PostmarketOS/#PinePhone community: I still have the OG Pinephone from 2020 in a drawer and was playing around with the idea of using it as a semi-#dumphone / less distraction riddled device for day to day usage.

How is the current state of Linux on a Phone and what about this particular device? The PmOS wiki page looks promising,, so does the Debian wiki (which was my main phone OS back then) but I am unsure how well this is maintained. IIRC, it became somewhat abandoned when the #PinePhonePro arrived.

@stephenjbell I have never upgraded to a smartphone.
Anything that requires an app, I have an iPad or iPod touch for.

Just picked up the Mindful, which is the most advanced #dumphone I’ve ever owned.
Touchscreen with pop up keyboard, so you can avoid t9. No browser. Os is a lite version of android.
Pretty great!

I have been using my little dumbphone Nokia 225 4G daily now for six weeks. It's been a great. I use it when I go for walks with @luna or to run quick errands. I've started getting frustrated by the distractions from my smartphone whenever I take it with me.

Urgent texts and calls are forwarded from my smartphone via Tasker and Google Voice. Aside from that, I only use it to listen to music.

There are also many cool cases available for it. I got one for a few bucks off Aliexpress.
