A week after #DPC22 in Brussels I'm still impressed by the quality of the sessions. Most inspiring for me was the closing keynote by @[email protected] on evolutionary roots of #privacy. Really gourmet food for thought. Thanks again, Alessandro Acquisti!

In de #AI wereld is geen ruimte meer voor de mens:
"Fascinating keynote by Nina Schick on AI generated content that is indistinguishable from real content. Basically her predictions mean consent would be dead as a lawful ground to process personal data, as AI would be able to generate consent too. #DPC22 #GDPR #privacy

I founds this tweet, from #DPC22 interesting. Max Schrems is done with data transfers:

Cobun Zweifel-Keegan on Twitter

“Max Schrems says he's "emotionally" done with data transfers. #DPC22 In response, pointing to the audience, @EUstaran says: "You may be done with data transfers, but these people aren't." Privacy Pros have to keep working through these things.”

Saw a tweet from discussions at #DPC22 referring to Vint Cerf who in the past, asserted that privacy may be an anomaly. I don't agree. Looking back at the historical cultural concepts of privacy - it's never been an anomaly. It's not an anomaly to those I meet on my travels.

Here's a 2013 article. https://www.cnet.com/news/privacy/vint-cerf-privacy-may-be-an-anomaly/

"Cerf said that "privacy may be an anomaly," warning that "it will be increasingly difficult for us to achieve" it. But at least some of the fault lies with us."

Vint Cerf: 'Privacy may be an anomaly'

The so-dubbed father of the Internet believes privacy will be increasingly harder to achieve given our desire to tell all via social media.

Glad to have participated in the early panel at #DPC22 on the impact of the war in Ukraine on data protection, misinformation as well as the lessons for the future We need to ensure that emergency measures do not become the new normal @[email protected]
#dpc22 Nina Schick is presenting #deepfakes in an entertaining way: Generative #ai will be able to create all Linda of content, including videos and images. Open Ai model Dall-E is presented. Next one: stable diffusion.
