One would rightfully look on with abhorrence if witnessing someone stripping an infant of clothing in the heat of the summer, or in the winter. Israel is exposing hundreds of thousands of infants, and children to the elements by intentionally destroying 80% of the buildings in Gaza. Israel is an Apartheid state shorn of most of its humanity. #Domicide #Palestine

What remains of Gaza City?

Israel is demolishing Gaza City’s high-rise towers, flattening entire blocks that once housed thousands of people.

At least 50 multistorey buildings have been destroyed in recent weeks.

Some neighbourhoods have faced near-total destruction. In Gaza City’s Zeitoun area alone, more than 1,500 homes and buildings have been destroyed since early August, leaving parts of the district with no buildings left standing.

The area available for cultivation is the area that is not damaged and not subject to access restrictions. The damaged area was assessed as of 28 July 2025 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT), based on the cropland dataset for 2023. The area accessible was determined by excluding the so-called no-go areas in place and the areas subject to evacuation orders since 18 March 2025 (the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs [OCHA], July 2025).

Entire residential blocks and infrastructure have been flattened, with locals comparing the devastation to the aftermath of a tsunami.

Thomas Chalmers, Presbyterian minister, speaks of poverty. The Bible expressly tells us to give to those who ask, even to the evil and unthankful, to give direct gifts to the poor from those items we possess.

Chalmers would have us give directly to the unthankful. Today, in contrast, we’ll put out people for allegations, even false ones, that they are not sufficiently our ally. Such as Afghans.

How can you give to the evil and unthankful?
