(Probably not just arch, but that's all I'm using on laptops atm.)

Eu instalei Ubuntu 23.10 (Mantic Minotaur) no Notebook Dell Inspiron N5010 (2010).

Adorei ver que Ubuntu 23.10 entrega a versão 45 do ambiente gráfico Gnome.

Replaced my HDD with a SSD and doing a clean install, not sure if the EFI partition will be created when using a Dell recovery OS installer for my Dell Insipiron 5570 laptop. Need to do some research on UEFI partitions and how they are created. Not sure of the Bios settings as well to enable that on the new SSD. #DellLaptop

My dear tootsies,
I got a Dell laptop to fix at the repair cafe .
Dell studio 1558 .
Main battery dead (dell ..),
But also RTC battery dead. So didnt retain the clock or bios checksum.
Replaced the RTC battery with new one. But it’s still not holding the date or time.
Any ideas ? I don’t want to buy new £15 battery just to find out that it’s not worth fixing it anyway.
It’s throttling down the main CPU, when just running on charger with battery being dead. It actually reports it as counterfeit/broken battery when booting .
