The W3C has officially rechartered the Dataset Exchange Working Group and @fracoparis will be chairing this new iteration.

The main objective is to develop a W3C Recommendation for documenting datasets at the variable level. The group will also revise existing vocabularies like Data Cube and DCAT. See the new charter for more details.

Dataset Exchange Working Group

<p>The mission of the Dataset Exchange Working Group is to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop a W3C Recommendation for the interoperable exchange on the Web of information on datasets at the variable level (Variable Description Vocabulary, VVD).</li> <li>Maintain and revise the RDF Data Cube Vocabulary, QB, taking into account feature requests from the QB user community.</li> <li>Maintain and revise the Data Catalog Vocabulary, DCAT, taking into account feature requests from the DCAT user community.</li> <li>Define and publish guidance on the specification and use of application profiles when requesting and serving data on the Web.</li> </ul>

An @opendata liefert Sachsen 1579, Schleswig-Holstein 353, die Mobilithek 96, Berlin 16 und Bayern 1.

Where DCAT describes what a service looks like from outside, DCAT-R adds vocabulary for how an application organizes its RDF repository internally - graph types, distribution boundaries, directory structures, manifests.

Hallo in die Runde, viele von euch kennen sicherlich Jekyll oder Hugo als Generatoren für einfache statische Websites. Von diesem Ansatz hab ich mich inspirieren lassen und ein einfaches Python-Tool entwickelt, mit dem sich statische Open-Data-Kataloge erzeugen lassen: Staticat. Die Idee ist wirklich sehr simpel: Man sammelt die zu veröffentlichenden Dateien in einem Verzeichnis, legt ein paar Metadaten im TOML-Format dazu und lässt dann Staticat drüberlaufen. DC Against Trump Coalition community police patrol historically Black neighborhood in Southeast DC

Washington, D.C. — On Friday, September 5, over 30 activists and community members assembled in Washington, D.C. 's Navy Yard neighborhood for a “mass cop watch” organized by the DC Against Trump Agenda (DCAT) coalition.
