If such a #Mastodon #dataserver set up sounds familiar, it is in essence what the #W3C #Solid project was intended to do, though that project has struggled with scope creep and complexity. Everyone does not need a separate personal knowledge graph server - they simply need a protected #knowledgegraph that they can control.
