I remember hearing word that Dark Glasses was another misstep for Dario Argento, but I rather enjoyed it. Let's not get it twisted; in no way does this rank near the best of Argento's filmography. But following the Italian horror master's downward spiral of Mother of Tears, Giallo, and especially Dracula 3D, this was a sharp return to form for him. Argento is doing fine work behind the camera in helming this tale of a blinded sex worker who is stalked by a killer as she tries to care for a Chinese boy who she accidentally orphaned. I will probably wind up watching them anyway, but two of #DarioArgento’s films that are included on #Shudder that I’ve not seen are #DarkGlasses and #Dracula. I’ve not heard the greatest reviews of either, so I’m curious on what y’all think about them. If you’ve seen these two, please let me know what you think of them!

It’s says a lot (or too little) about latter-day Dario Argento that the aforementioned, Argento-produced She Will is a better Dario Argento movie than the Argento-directed Dark Glasses.

Very disappointed with Argento’s #DarkGlasses. Wasn’t a bad film, but had nothing of note. Very dated, little style. Stale to say the least. Saying that, the film is lifted unbelievably when Asia is on screen.
