This week #AdriftLab was joined by Tanya, a #TradtionalOwner from Kepa Kurl/Esperance. We traveled to northern Australia (☀️Tanya’s home Country, yay!) and this morning, we flew to a remote #island to undertake a damage assessment after #CycloneIlsa. My husband lives in #PortHedland so we had a VERY tense couple days as #CycloneIlsa approached (made landfall as a Category FIVE storm only 130 kn of town). Thankfully, he’s fine but…the #seabird breeding island I’ve been working on definitely is not 😢🐦🏝 #BedoutIsland #RowleyShoals

There aren't many alternatives nearby so I'm guessing the #Pardoo roadhouse (Western Australia) will be operational again within 6 hours.
