I had an incredible encounter with this rare Fiordland crested penguin on the West Coast, a moment I’ll never forget.
These elusive penguins are one of the world’s rarest, and facing threats from habitat loss, predators, and climate change. Encounters like this remind me why protecting New Zealand’s fragile coastal ecosystems is so important to me.
