Good morning everyone 🌞 It looks like the sun is trying to come out today after a lot of rain overnight. The #parrots are all munching First Breakfast after Ziggy came out long enough for me to take her to the couch, her to wrestle a cardboard tube from her toy box to the floor and then for her to demand I take her back to her cage 😊 She is currently at her wet food bowl making little growls of pleasure as she finds the bits she likes. She's become really good at going to that bowl first now, while Jadie, of course, continues to ignore hers. I have even tried putting black grapes, her absolutely favourite fruit, into it, but all to no avail. Fresh food needs to be put onto her flat perch or it simply doesn't exist 😂 #petsofmastodon #birdsofmastodon #BirdsOfFediverse #goodmorning

Good morning you lovely lot 💕 The #parrots are cleaned and fed and I have #coffee. To start your morning here is a photo of Jadie rocking the punk look after having a bath in her water bowl the other day 😊 As you can see she is quite capable of using her ropes to access her bowls if she wants to - she just chooses not to when it comes to her food. We spray the parrots with a warm misting spray every two days. Ziggy generally has a bath in her water bowl every time. Jadie only does it every now and then, but when she does she really goes to town! #petsofmastadon #birdsofmastadon #BirdsOfFediverse #goodmorning

I ended up playing #Skyrim yesterday morning and only worked on the custom #crochet #toy in the afternoon, but a new order came in last night so I am going to have to really make today a #crochetday I think. Or maybe half and half again ..I'll see 😉

Good morning everyone 🌻 Long lie for me today as Grant is going out on an #RSPB work party at the local wetlands this morning. It's a lovely, bright day for it right enough. He told me that Jadie hasn't been eating this morning, but then I saw he had put a load of pomegranate seeds in her bowl. I removed them and she's eating fine now. Jadie is such a special #parrot, being a rescue, and you have to be so careful with her food or she will just refuse to eat. I think her beak is still a little sensitive too after being shaped yesterday. The vet said the scissor bit may have been digging into her tongue a little so they had to trim it right down. She's happily doing "Pchew! Pchew! Wraaagh!" now though so all good 😊 #parrots #petsofmastodon #birdsofmastodon #BirdsOfFediverse #goodmorning

Good Moo everyone 🌞 Ziggy had a long hand cuddle with me this morning, to the point where I started to get pins and needles in my fingers. She likes to tuck herself up like that with her head upside down and makes little purring noises of contentment 😊 Now all of the #parrots are munching happily away with Ziggy definitely going to her veggie bowl more often now and declaring that it is "good!". I made some fresh chop and red pepper hummus for them yesterday and I think she is quite keen on the hummus. I still can't get Jadie to go near her wet bowl though. I have a little plastic bowl from one of their travel cages that I might try and attach high up when I give them their fruit later and see how she reacts. #PetsofMastodon #BirdsOfFediverse #BirdsofMastodon #GoodMorning

Good morning everyone 🌞 Up later today as Grant got up for the #parrots, but I didn't really sleep much as they were making such a noise. Grant likes to have a snooze on the couch after he has cleaned and fed them, and the crew apparently take objection to this; well the Hahns Macaws anyway. Ziggy starts the screeching and Jadie, who follows everything Madame Ziggy does, joins in and helps 😂 I have grabbed a #Coffee, come to sit with them, put on Classic FM and they are all nice and quiet again (for a wee while anyway 😉) #PetsofMastodon #BirdsOfFediverse #BirdsofMastodon #GoodMorning

It's another #CrochetDay for me today as I work on the custom #crochet #toy
orders. Two need to be delivered the week after next, and there is still a good bit to do, especially on the doll, which has a complicated outfit, so I will need to get a wiggle on.

The same can't be said for my kettle, which seems to have packed in. The socket it was plugged into doesn't seem to be working, but when I moved the kettle to another one it did turn on, but the plug was very hot, so I think it might have tripped the other plug. I'll check when it gets a bit lighter. I managed to make a #coffee, but thinking we may need another kettle, or an electrician, or both!

Hoping to have another #CrochetDay today and hopefully finish up the #crochet kids' drawing toy I am working on. Then I can clean up the parrot toys as their box is getting out of hand and do some other tasks that are waiting patiently for me to get to them ☺️

Good morning everyone. Grant got up for the #parrots again as he's going birding today. It's a beautiful crispy morning so he should have a good walk. I stayed in bed for a bit, but I couldn't go back to sleep so eventually gave up and got up. Just as well as Grant is just about to leave and the crew would have raised a ruckus anyway 😊 At least I am now here with them so I've popped on Classic FM for them and am relaxing with my first #Coffee. #petsofmastodon #birdsofmastodon #GoodMorning

We had a lovely lunch with my daughter and the grandboys yesterday. Excellent food and the place was packed. It's good to see a little local restaurant doing so well. I also managed to get some updates done to my website in the morning before we left. Still more to do, but it will be a #CrochetDay today as I work on finishing up this fun #crochet Kids' Drawing #toy I am working on.

Good morning everyone. All the #parrots are munching and I have #coffee. I tried to upload a video of Toby playing with his own remote control there, but I think it may be too big as it failed. I'll see if I can cut it down a bit and try again later. I had to give him his own remote ( and old one we had with the batteries taken out) to distract him from attacking my hand when I was trying to change the channels. 😊 #petsofmastodon #birdsofmastodon #GoodMorning

I was out yesterday to the surgery and to see Grant's Mum, so I am going to take it easy today and have a #CrochetDay and watch crime documentaries. I am still working on the #crochet kids' drawing #toy that I will hopefully finish up this weekend and then I can put my listing up again. I've been slower relisting this year to manage the pace a bit more as it was pretty full on last year and I didn't have time for much of anything else. I could really do with a Dr Octopus suit 😂
