Good morning everyone. I'm up early with the parrots again. Not planned, but Grant couldn't get Ziggy to take her medication so I had to get up and step in. Luckily, I had a lot of rest yesterday and went to bed at 6:30 PM, so I was awake anyway ☺️

I'm now sitting with the little minx, who is preening my neck (shingles again!) and making little growls and grumbles of contentment. I'm glad she's content, even if it means having to forgo my longer lie. Grant's going to give it another go tomorrow after some further instructions from me - we'll see how it goes 😊

Today is going to be busy. We have a big shop to do and need to prep a bunch of food for this evening and get the cages all cleaned before we head out to the V-E-T with Ziggy this afternoon for more blood tests, as we won't have time to do all that after we get back. V-E-T days are always frantic, but more so when they are later in the afternoon as we need to leave a lot earlier due to traffic.

If I get a chance, I may crochet for a bit in between.

Good morning everyone 🌻 I'm currently having a wee hand cuddle with her Zigginess. When I came down this morning I heard her chatting away in the darkness, wide awake and perky as you please. My little heart continues to warm each day I see her well ☺️

She's now gone in for breakfast after a wee bit of a struggle to get her to take her meds this morning, which involved having to come back and sit down with her and just wait it out for a bit after she went all wide-eyed into I See Ghosts mode again. But she took it all eventually, which is the main thing.

Plans for today are just to rest as ye olde mecfs is making itself known again and I know if I push myself any further I am going to end up crashing. Might watch some Netflix or just listen to my audiobooks and snooze.

Good morning my Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up early again with the parrots and have just put Ziggy in for breakfast after a nice little cuddle. She took her medication without any bother again - this ploy of making her take it in the kitchen, out of sight of the other parrots, seems to be working well. I've shown Grant what to do and he is going to give it a go on Monday.

She's in good form, being an absolute demon in the evenings and chasing poor Toby all over the place. Jadie learned long ago to stay well out of Ziggy's way, but Toby so wants my attention that he will persevere and come back to me, no matter how many times the Tiny Terror chases him. I think in the wild a lot of males compete for a single female's attention so it's probably built into the big galoot to "never give up, never surrender" ☺️ It does give him good exercise if nothing else.

I had fun gaming yesterday. I started Tiny Bookshop and played that for a wee while and then back to BG3. I also spoke to my eldest grandson on the phone for a while - we discussed D & D classes and gaming in general. Am I a cool granny or what? 😉

Today I have a grocery shop coming early (we ran out of parrot fresh stuff again) and then I have to make chop and do some more parrot kitchen bits and bobs. I'll probably crochet after all that is done and keep working on the competition toy. I really must do my self assessment tax, but have procrastinated that into next week 😁

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today, but it was a bit of a different morning as Grant got up with me for a bit (he's now gone back to bed 😊) to help clean the cages and observe how I give Ziggy her medicine as he's going to give it a try on Monday so I can hopefully finally get a long lie. Ziggy was very vocal when she heard me in the kitchen, contact calling like crazy, so to save my poor poor neighbours I got her out early and took her over for a cuddle while Grant cleaned the cages.

She's in really good form at the moment, being a total bossy boots and a demanding little madame, which makes me very happy 😊 We go back to the V-E-T on Monday to take some more blood and check her kidneys. We'll see what happens after that with the meds.

Plans for today are to do some gaming for a change. Grant and I exchanged Steam vouchers for Xmas, so I may have a look at the Winter Sale. I quite fancy the Oblivion Remaster and also Pentiment, both of which are on sale right now.
