Skeptical ScienceHave you heard of Climate Fresk? Until recently we had not, despite it being the product of prolonged commitment to improving understanding of #ClimateChange, reaching millions of people around the globe over the decade since it was started.
Wearing her reporter's hat, our volunteer Bärbel Winkler brings us all up to speed on #ClimateFresk's purpose and methods, which among other benefits includes a great way to have a pleasant social occasion with serious purpose.
Climate Fresk - a neat way to make the complexity of climate change less puzzling
Up until a few weeks ago, I had never heard of 'Climate Fresk' and at a guess, this will also be the case for many of you. I stumbled upon it in the self-service training catalog for employees at the company I work at in Germany where it was announced as a 3-hours workshop called 'Klima Puzzle' (Climate Puzzle). Intrigued, I signed up and was one of 7 colleagues to be led through what turned out to be quite an interesting experience. After the workshop, I spend some time browsing the Climate Fresk website and then signed up for a training to become a 'Climate Fresker' myself. This allows me to lead people through a Climate Fresk, which I now 'only' need to find some time for!

PL_RLPAm 31.10.2024 haben zahlreiche #Lehrkräfte für das Fach #Englisch am Pädagogischen Landesinstitut ein Moderationszertifikat für die Durchführung von Climate Fresk Workshops erhalten.
Die Teilnehmenden können ab jetzt die bis zu dreistündigen Workshops in zwei Sprachen mit dem Klima-Puzzle-Material durchführen.
Eine ähnliche Veranstaltung auf Französisch findet am 11.11.2024 in Koblenz statt.
