Bharat Bandh today: Workers across India observed a day-long strike on Thursday, protesting government policies they describe as anti-worker and pro-corporate. The strike affected banking, insurance, postal and transport services in several states. Trade unions are demanding the scrapping of the four labour codes and the withdrawal of other proposed legislation. Farmers unions also joined the protests in various regions.
