The bouncy and exuberant sound of the band Charly Bliss is built on a blend of old school alt-rock and a sparkly brand of indie pop that's increasingly leaning towards the latter.

Charly Bliss is an indie pop band from Brooklyn that started out more on the indie rock side, but began to bring more indie pop elements into their music relatively quickly. The influence of the '90s alt-rock/soft grunge style is still evident in the guitars. They have added a synth-driven, dance-friendly dimension to their music as well. Their songs are catchy to the ear in the first take, and they sound as though they were written with an angsty-but-in-a-light-hearted-way audience in mind. The band is led by Eva Hendricks on guitar and vocals, who injects youthful buoyancy that matches the band's pop exuberance. There is an over sense of fun that drives their music, and the band plays like they are happy to have wormed into your brain with those shiny songs.
