Yelena Eckemoff: Rosendals Garden

Eckemoff is an under-the-radar prolific Russian-American pianist that only puts out the goods. Her roots in classical lead to a certain intellectual flavor in her compositions and a unique creativity in her improvisation. Her latest is a musical ode to Sweden, in a trio with local talent... there's even a song for ABBA! It's more magic from Eckemoff and worth listening front to back. Enjoy!

BigXthaPlug is Dallas based hip-hop artist Xavier Landum, who raps with a booming deep voice that sports a noticeable southern drawl, as he delivers his stories with an undeniable dramatic flair. His work comes with a firm foundation in the classic pillars of American music. He often reaches at the retro soul sound with vintage R&B grooves that give his songs their central tunes and melodic hooks. He also taps into contemporary country as inspiration, which he fully turned his attention to on his 2025 album I Hope You're Happy, where he dove straight into the genre through a series of songs that also feature various country and country-adjacent artists as collaborators.

unPluriverso - Il Pescatore di Perle

An album by Timeless Records Released 2026-04-22 Tracks: 1. Mercante di Tappeti 2. Rolling in Decay 3. Angelo))) 4. s(e)i “Il Pescatore di Perle”, somehow inspired by W. Benjamin's reflections on Philosophy of History, is a tricky experiment that tries to combine two apparently quite different approaches. On one side you’ll find a totally analog approach made of extremely reverberated and almost unrecognizable guitars, mostly played with a violin bow; acoustic basses full of distortions and a few random percussions combined together in the same rhythmical patterns. At the opposite side of this instinctive approach you’ll find a sort of linearity made out of a methodical looping approach. Therefore, instruments that don’t belong necessarily to the repertoire of electronic music are dragged into this world. This process denaturalize the instruments until it seems they’re no longer the same. This is a sort of “constellation” and it appears and disappears in a blink of an eye.

New Zealand's Mystery Waitress is the indie rock outlet for folk artist Tessa Dillon, whose otherwise relaxed and airy songs with melodic hooks have turned a shade (or two) darker over successive albums.

Mystery Waitress | the PROPAGANDA site

Mystery Waitress is a band that folk artist Tessa Dillon uses as a rock oriented outlet for her songs. The band started with relatively light tones and mostly airy songs with a relaxed flow and a relatively light mood. This changed on their next album, 2024's Bright Black Night, where the emotional knob was dialed into a darker shade, bringing out an edgier sound that does not shy away from distortion at times, where some of their songs even slide towards gloomy atmospherics. Their strength lies in the combination of Dillon's effective songwriting with all the necessary hooks, and the overall smoothness and the deliberate pacing in their delivery.

Going West AVAILABLE ON CD VIA ELASTICSTAGE: elasticstage.com/m-corp/releases/garden-invicta-album The following is an approved statement from the Executive Committee Board Office Chain Department of M-Corp, timestamped January 30, 2026, very early in the morning: Rejoice! There is a new finished album of work from your trusted M-Corp. Well, sort of. They say that all art is never finished, only abandoned. There are two possibilities to consider here: A) what we do is not art, and so can be considered finished, and B) as a corporation, we have no problem or guilty conscience over possibly abandoning things and releasing them before they're ready and safe and other such trivial matters. Anyway, let us not get bogged down in politics. Here at the M-Corporation, we have focused in on one of our initial objectives from when we were founded back on September 12th 2017 - to artificially cultivate a kind of jazzy electronic music from the aura of the Kentish countryside. This new collection of sounds delves a bit deeper into that local history. See, we have realised that such things as villages and countrysides and clean air likely don't have much of a future for all sorts of reasons, so here we are, as it were, bottling the feeling of walking/driving through various parts of the official 'Garden of England', as it were, so that future generations stuck in post-nuclear ghettos may enjoy the cosiness of village life in all its preserved beauty. Sort of. As it were. We also realised that the idea of humans playing music and using it as a medium to communicate feelings, however small and ambivalent, will also soon become extinct. Normally, we don't care too much about that, generating our sounds with a plethora of synthesis, quantization and various other clinical and scientific formulae. But because our workers were looking at us sadly, and because we are a sharing and caring kind of corp, on this occasion we have let them out of their padded cells and given them access to a keyboard/melodica/trumpet/Stylophone, which they have played a bit. Just this once, don't you worry. We are told by test listeners that it adds things like 'feeling' and 'groove' to the overall work. In short - if you need an escape from the traumas and stresses of the world, but the usual ambient wallpaper doesn't quite do it... then why not visit our Garden. You can be at peace here, if you can remember what that was like.

Chris Morrissey: Infinite Source of Heat

Morrissey seems to get stronger with each release, honing his unique sound. It's the kind of sound borne from the combination of a bass player's perspective, the synthesis of his songwriting influences, and an A+ band that's built for jazz improv, but is playing an inventive indie rock of sorts. It's propulsive and dreamy all at once. With a few extra special guests that indicate the kind of talent Morrissey rolls with on the reg. Enjoy!
