I actually like the idea. For example, let's say a #Youtube creator uses #Medium to post extra content, transcripts, or longer discussion articles. #Medium can then verify that it is indeed that Youtuber and also verify their #Mastodon account and identity.

Yes, they can verify their identity by linking the #Youtube channel by connecting it with a URL, but an automated #verified checkmark next to their profile name could be fun and useful.
