Living within our means (including planetary resource limits) is not in the #NeoLiberal mindset of #Grifters nor in the unfetted #Capitalism and #Globalisation handbook. Is the quality of life really enhanced in proportion to the amount of goods we consume or acquire? I think not.

There’s nothing like retirement on a modest pension to make one come to their senses and see that a comfortable, happy and fruitful life can be had cheaply enough. It helps if working life is used to save, consume less with the environment in mind and asking a simple question: ‘do I really need this?’ before buying anything. Some goods are essential, most are not.
