@strypey
Not all capitalists are #fascist, no. That is not what we said.

We will always repeat the definition of #fascism; when govt and big-business come together.

We argue that the way #BigTech and the #legacyMedia have aligned themselves with govt does make them uniquely fascist.

Even #DavidGraeber in his work, #BatshitConstruction, also identified how #BigConstruction and especially big #propertyDevelopers tend to be fascist based on their need for govt approval of large projects.

We hashtagged a lot in 2019, but aside from that little else has changed.

The #constructionCartel continues its "#BatshitConstruction", as so eloquently described by the late #DavidGraeber. The intersection between the #constructionIndustry and fascism remains, and is possibly more corrupt today than in 2019.

> Proposal two: #BatshitConstruction. An enormous amount of building today is purely #speculative: all over the world, #governments collude with the #FinancialSector to create glittering #towers that are never occupied, empty #OfficeBuildings, #Airports that are never used. Stop doing this. No one will miss them.

David Graeber: ‘To save the world, we’re going to have to stop working’

Writing as part of Jarvis Cocker's Big Issue takeover before his untimely death earlier this month, David Graeber explains his confusion about why we’d destroy the planet if we don’t have to

Big Issue

From #BullShitJobs to #BatShitConstruction
> The reasons for engaging in batshit work are far from irrational: such jobs provide an income, and often an identity and a sense that one is contributing to society. All this can make organizing batshit workers exceedingly difficult.

“Batshit jobs” - no-one should have to destroy the planet to make a living

An in-depth look at workers’ participation in the climate and ecological breakdown, and how this might be transformed into ecological care, and leveraged for change.

The late #DavidGraeber had a thing to say about #propertyDevelopers, and #landSpeculators.

See (his words) #BatshitConstruction.

Most at the top in the #constructionIndustry are by definition, #fascist and #cronyist, and the cronyism trickles down to the workers themselves but they (mostly) don't see the fascism — the melding of govt and big #privateEquity.

They think they're #building communities because that is the #rhetoric of their #CEO and #corporateState masters.

#DavidGraeber dies at 59.

Here is an interview he gave on the topic of #BatshitConstruction. How the #propertyDevelopment, #realEstate and #construction cartel form #mafias around #politicians with the help of #politicalDonations and #organisedCrime.

Please watch (this is probably the reason why he is now dead)

Bats**t Construction

Over millennia – and certainly since ‘Field of Dreams’ – the idea that if you “build it, they will come…” has prevailed

@schestowitz
Nooo! Is #DavidGraeber really dead or is this cruel joke. He had so much life to live, still.

His work on #BatshitConstruction and #gentrification is one favourite of ours.

Please tell us this is untrue. :(

We just discovered a series called #RenegadeInc, hosted by the man who made the #BigFinance film, #FourHorsemanOfTheApocalypse.

This episode is titled #BatshitConstruction. It could have been based on #Australia given the disastrously faulty #construction here, as dangerous #highrise #slums pop up like #meerkats.
