Columbia and Barnard expelled several students, kicked them out of campus housing, stripped away meal tickets that they'd already paid for, all because they happened to be in the library, studying, when protesters took over the library to protest the Genocide in Gaza.

#Columbia issued an interim suspension to a WKCR reporter but revoked it hours later.
Barnard and Columbia issued interim suspensions Thursday afternoon to four student journalists who covered a Wednesday pro-Palestinian protest in Butler Library, citing “information received” from Public Safety indicating the reporters’ alleged involvement in the protest, according to disciplinary emails obtained by Spectator.
The investigation began shortly after masked protesters barged into Milbank Hall, a building at the #Columbia-affiliated #Barnard College, on Feb 26 to demonstrate against the expulsion of #students who had been accused of disrupting a “History of Modern Israel” class. Video shows students pushing past a security guard & occupying a hallway. School ofcls said at the time that the guard was assaulted & taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
