On April 29th, Mic Crenshaw and friends stopped in Atlanta for the It Did Happen Here book tour.
From the website for the book:
https://www.itdidhappenherepodcast.com/
"It Did Happen Here is an independently produced podcast and a collectively written book about anti-fascist struggles that took place in Portland, Oregon following the 1988 murder of Ethiopian immigrant Mulugeta Seraw by racist skinheads. This is the story of how disparate groups used a diversity of tactics to fight neo-nazi violence and right wing organizing in the Rose City in the 1980s and 90s."
Our group is a member of the Torch network, which grew out of the Anti-Racist Action network in the 1980s, and the ARA was heavily inspired by the antifascist work of the Baldies, the multiracial antiracist skinhead group founded by Crenshaw and his friends.

We were lucky enough to hear the talk and get this picture of the group holding one of our "Wanted" stickers!
Anyone interested in antifascist and antiracist history should immediately check out the book and podcast at the website link above. The next Georgia event date is in Athens on May 10, and then back in Atlanta on May 11th.
