#AviKaplan on Nature, Healing, and Reclaiming His Voice After #Pentatonix
I have not heard much from #AviKaplan since he left Pentatonics years ago.
Something about his new song really hits the spot for this moment.
Peace Somehow
Presenting: the Cry tag, with Avi singing bass
The original bass singer in Pentatonix
The notes aren't low for him, I can even do them - but his resonance is the best *in the world*
"Cry" tag performed by Avi Kaplan and other assorted A Cappella Academy singers, arranged by Brian Beck.Original video 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sff...
#AviKaplan’s “I’ll Get By” could be the theme-tune for folk with #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #pwME, especially those of us suffering from #SevereME. I love that the hashtag equates to #IllGetBy, which can be read as the actual title or as the ill get by. 💙

In 2017 #Pentatonix / #PTX won their third #Grammy, making three-consecutive #Grammys. On this occasion the prize was the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. They shared the glory with #DollyParton all performing “#Jolene”. Six months later #AviKaplan left the group to go solo.

A few weeks ago I averred I was unaware of hearing #MileyCyrus singing. I now find that I absolutely adore a version of “#Jolene” in which she sings beside her godmother, the song’s writer, #DollyParton and backed by the a cappella talents of #Pentatonix / #PTX. I probably missed her because I was crushing on #AviKaplan, the bass, who went solo in 2017. The version (without MC) won the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
