#Wikileaks, #Assange, a thread of thoughts:
If you find the things #Wikileaks released selective or not, if you find #Assange a hero or an a**hole: the world wouldn't know about a lot of BS being done behind people's backs without Wikileaks.
And for good reasons we wouldn't know: after the legal charade #Assage had to undergo, #journalists now know (already knew before) what happens if you publish information that *actually* challenges power.
The publication of e.g. the collateral murder video was a turning point in the public perception of the US war in Iraq. And like it or not (the sources of this information, the timing, the context): to publish the fiddeling of Hilary around the 2016 primaries that have cost Sanders his chance to challenge Trump, well we maybe wouldn't know about them without #Wikleaks/ #Assange, too.
However...
