Good practical ideas for dealing with hdmi scaling issues. In addition, I would look into the RetroTink too cause its built specifically for coverting anologue into a digital HDMI signal too.

@fell the #asknoah show is without ADS, although having a RH employee as co-host is a not-invasive way to advertise a company.

For $10 you can get all the #lateNightLinux shows without ADS...

I've just listened ep 330 of #asknoah show and listened the interview of #VanillaOS developer and...

And it is unavoidable #Linux is awfully into #enshittification any brand new feature is designed with enshittification in its core...

  • Init? enshittified
  • Containers? enshittified
  • Immutability? enshittified
  • Major desktop environments? enshittified
  • Universal package manager? enshittified
  • Other? enshittified

For instance, all these enshittification about immutability and containerization are simply solved by filesystem like #ZFS and OS like #FreeBSD, where there is a clear separation between the base system and third party software.

In the Linux realm it is followed instead the enshittification methodology, so: the OS is immutable, you need to replace it at once, and reboot it at every update; the separation is ugly achieved by using a third party service that has nothing to do with your distro and it follows its own rule. Gigabyte of space and bandwith are wasted because today storage is cheap, but the reality is only one: enshittification.

I would promote Shitty/Linux instead of the eternal dilemma of GNU/Linux

Enshittification, big IT corps and Linux: it is not a coincidence...

I got to go on to the Ask Noah Show to talk about running a video production and graphic design company on an all Linux pipeline! Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abLdFzXv3QA&t=2037s
