@RobinKey
Don't remind me of his '70% in favour'. What a great contribution he made to the Ref campaign! Plus his call to invoke #art50 the next day too.
I honestly want to FORGET him. He cost us dearly.

What I want is for #Labour to join forces with the #Greens, the #LibDems, whoever, to ENSURE:

1 we get the #ToriesOut
2 we get rid of the insane #FPTP
3 we join the #SingleMarket/ #CustomsUnion
4 we end #austerity and
5 we end #privatisation.

First steps to #RejoinEU.

I wanted a second referendum on #Brexit BEFORE May's demented triggering of #Art50.

Now I don't. I just want an intelligent government to take the decision to #RejoinEU for us. Simples.

Would you welcome a second referendum on Brexit?

(feel free to share/boost as always)

Labour’s chief whip defies leader to say he wants to remain

Splits at the top of the Labour Party emerged today as chief whip Nick Brown defied Jeremy Corbyn to say that he wants to stay in the EU.  In an email to one of his constituents he disclosed that he is personally in favour of halting Brexit by revoking Article 50 if the only other option is no deal.

Hi @[email protected] the date of withdrawal can be changed by statutory instrument under s.20(4) if the EU Withdrawal Act. A new Act is not required for an extension of #art50 please correct your commentary thank you #brexit #peoplesvote

@jwildeboer

I didn't know that was in doubt?!

I'm not following #brexit that closely, but back when the UK called on #Art50 (~2 Yars ago?), it was reported by (german) news, that they also could step back from that at any time.

-> This info has since been in my head!
(I had wondered, though that this option wasn't mentioned anymore in the news lately...)
