So I receontly wrote about my new keychron V10 (ISO DE, tactile, https://keychron.de/products/keychron-v10-alice-layout-qmk-custom-mechanical-keyboard-iso-layout-collection?variant=41259606081673). By now i modified my keymap and am very happy with the typing experience. I got used to the alice layout quickly - but i am no hardcore fast typist.
Now my employer gave me some budget for another keyboard and after quite a bit of research i decided to get a perixx periboard-335 (ISO DE, clicky, https://de.perixx.com/products/periboard-335-compact?variant=48202562535689). After just a few minutes with the periboard i have some issues:

+ i forgot that i ordered clicky switches, they are kailh low-profile which i heard are probably the best low-profile clickies i could get. I occasionally like clickies and they feel alright and sound like clickies. Nothing wrong with them.
+ negative tilt of the board is awesome, feels great for me
+ materials feel nice and do not attract fingerprints
+ no rgb
- when you use negative tilt, you will immediately notice the sharp edges of the wrist rest. Build quality issues?
- fixed USB-A Cable which is cringe
- stem wobble (which is weird because the low-profile switches don't have stems)
- overall light weight and kind of flimsy
- not modifiable
- no (!) accessories in the box (makes sense: no hot swap, keycaps highly specific for this board), even mac/win specific keys are on the same keycap
- no QMK/VIA support

On the other side the keychron:
+ nice tactile, pre-lubed switches
+ quite good thocky sound
+ with wrist rest feels good for me (- keychron did not have the correct wrist rest in stock but the shorter one for alice keebs without macro keys is fine)
+ easy to do light modifications
+ nice weight and materials
+ solid accessories package
+ pleasant keycaps (looks AND feel)
~ nice long USB-C-to-A detachable cable
~ usable back light/RGB
- no negative tilt

Opinions are subjective so YMMV and so on, I will run the periboard through some more tests in the future, but my preference is clear.

Keychron V10 (Alice Layout) QMK Custom Mechanical Keyboard ISO Layout Collection

The more I look into keyboards, the more I feel like the "normal" keyboards aren't really meant for human hands and we've just trapped ourselves in an outdated design that is bad in every way.

Like; the whole thing only exists in its current form because of typewriters and patents from a hundred years ago.

My wrists hurt. I'm mad.
