P.E.I. fishers adjusting to elogs despite early hiccups
It's year two for electronic logbooks for lobster and snow crab fishers on P.E.I. Electronic logging became mandatory in 2025, replacing paper records, and for some it was a steep learning curve. Island fishers say they're adjusting to the new system, but are wondering how the information they're collecting is being used. CBC’s Nancy Russell reports.

...challenging, but worth it! Since Wednesday, April 22nd, my life has had a major change... He's a fluffy brown piranha, although his fluff is already slowly changing into more rough hairs. As I start writing this, he's been with me for two weeks. And, as you may have been following on this blog here, it's been a challenging two weeks for sure. I knew I had to change my routine. I knew that life as I knew it would be put on hold for a while. Koa was coming into a new home. Away from his siblings. Away from the familiar sounds and smells. And now, there was someone else caring for him, giving him rules that didn't make sense to him. Expecting things from him... Not at first, but as time goes by, they expect him to learn and adjust... Packing up 🎒

As I write this, it’s Friday… And for the upcoming time, I guess Friday will be a harder day to get through. Every Friday that comes now, means it’s ben another week without my lovely sweetheart… 🤎 And I still miss her so much… 8 weeks now since she passed away… 8 weeks without her love and boops… 😢

But this Friday, I’ve had a busy but good morning. But of course, when it was 9:30, I automatically thought of her again… And this afternoon, I will be “busy” packing up (it’s usually a quick task for me, as I don’t have that much with me to pack up). So I will write this, pack all I can, and then I will probably work on some more AI texts for the snaps that I took yesterday of Burg Greifenstein.
