I am increasingly frustrated by #abetterrouteplanner:
- it is very reluctant to change in its plan when conditions change, it will prefer to route you back to the original plan instead of perhaps a new plan, accepting dozens of extra kilometers
- it’s routing prefers shorter distances to following Dutch infrastructure categorization of roads, leading to way too much routing through narrow residential streets while wider roads are available very close by

Island in the Net

Back home, having succesfully used #Abetterrouteplanner to get me there and back. On #grapheneos with speech output. So it works, yay.

Now I just need to find out why it is so damn quiet when speaking. I mean, I have music running and it is perfect understandable. Then #abrp says something - this reduces the volume of the music considerably (good) and then talks. While inside a city and as such slow moving, I can hear it. Not good, but good enough.
Outside, with car going > 80 km/h, its so quiet, that one can't understand anything.

No, it does not help to crank up the volume. That will either blast the music annoyingly loud - or, if I do it manually for each notification, before that is effective the notification is finished...

Settings in app are set to loudest. Meh.

Other (routing) apps do not have this problem, and yes, the central speech output settings do say "Increase volume".

Using the beautiful #RocketSim @[email protected], I can swiftly simulate the live location updates on Dynamic Island and Live Activities, even setting either speed and second or meter updates. #ev #electricalvehicle #gogreen #mobility #ios #tesla #rivian #abetterrouteplanner #abrp #evchargers #charge #station

#emobility

If you have 30s to upvote something random, I'd appreciate the extra votes on https://abrp.upvoty.com/b/add-a-vehicle/bmw-ce-04-scooter/

The TL;DR is that if you have an #EV, #ABetterRouteplanner is the bee's knees for long-distance travel planning, taking weather, charging time, elevation changes, weight, and current state-of-charge into account.

They don't yet have a profile for my new EV #scooter which makes it not very useful for trip planning. Your upvotes will help get the #BMW #CE04 on their radar!
