I tried my hand again with a split keyboard and managed to fry a brand new Corne #keyboard. Goddamn that was an expensive mistake. Note to self: stick to wireless for splits -- that is, if I dare to do splits again.

#zsa still has the best configuration experience in the industry and why I still won't give up the #planckez

My new keeb arrived yesterday. I've had to fiddle around with the key layout a bit (it wanted backspace to be on the right hand under M key) and a few others, but I'll get it working.

Vial.rocks doesn't seem to want to work, but the app does. Its less intuitive than ZSA's Oryx, but I'm sure I'll work it out. Need to get used to no tenting though 😬

'Scuse the mess

I've been a little naughty and gone and got myself a new Keyboard. I'll soon be the owner of a Lily58 with Choc lowprokb ambiant twilights with a carry case.

I wanted a ZSA Voyager, but didn't want to pay twice (once for purchase, second for import) and the Lilly seemed a good compromise (and cheaper).

Just a little nervous about tenting, but I'll give it a go.

@ctietze I have an ergodox keyboard from #zsa where I use home row modifiers.... Whenever I type on my laptop the first few minutes I hold 'l' and expect it to be a shift key
I just send an email to #ZSA complaining about Oryx, the worse decision they ever made. I’m replicating that message here in this thread.

I've been happily using a Moonlander for a while now, with a Voyager sitting in my closet. I bought the former because I couldn't quite make the latter work for me; I struggled to put together a layout that I was happy with.

But the Moonlander has more keys than I'd ever practically make us of. So I dusted off the Voyager and decided to give it another try. And I think I've found a solution to the layout problem I was facing before! It's not perfect, and I'll probably continue iterating on it, but I'm glad I was able to solve the initial problem that made me seek out a replacement keyboard.

tl;dr I wish the Voyager had three keys on the thumb clusters instead of two. 😅

Jury is still out on whether I can get used to the #ZSA #Voyager keyboard, but one thing is already clear: their software is great, and their customer support is absolutely fantastic.

@molly0xfff VERY swank!

I love my #ZSA #Moonlander #keyboard!

I still find myself occasionally wondering where a particular obscure key went (Where the heck IS PrntScrn anyway?) but that's a tiny price to pay for the overall huge productivity boost!
